Rick Hanson is the School of Byzantine Music’s Administrative Consultant. He is an analytics professional with a background in data analysis and software development. He holds a B.S. in mathematics from George Mason University and an M.S. in computer science from Columbia University. 

He is a Reader of the Orthodox Church in America (OCA) and has chanted at various parishes of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America (GOA). Currently, he is serving as a cantor at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church parish in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
