
Christos Kazilas was born in Athens in 1981. He studied at Rizarios Ecclesiastical School and the Department of Theology of the National and Kapodestrian University of Athens. He obtained his Master’s Degree from the Department of Social Theology at the same university. He worked as a researcher in several scientific programs at the Research Organization of the University of Athens. He was a faculty member at Rizarios Ecclesiastical School and other public schools in Athens.
In 2013, Christos founded Ixadin Edition, a small publishing house specializing in chant books. He has served as Lambadarios and Protopsaltis for more than 20 years in Greece and the US. Christos has served as Greek School Director and Youth Director in several Parishes in the Metro Boston area. Christos was a permanent member of the Choir Maistores of Psaltic Art for 16 years and participated in many concerts in Greece, Italy, Russia, and Israel. He is currently a member of the Psaltikon Ensemble.
